چکیده
Recently, R. M. H. Bilal et al. proposed a wideband microwave absorber based on metallic split-ring resonators and an E-shaped fractal structure. It is found that the reflection components of high-order modes are very large but have been neglected by authors. Our results show actual absorptivity much lower than reported one if taken into consideration. The simulation prove structure not effective absorber.

Negative index of refraction in metallic metamaterial comprising split-ring resonators.
We numerically investigate the negative index of refraction in a metamaterial composed of metallic split-ring resonators, which exhibits simultaneously negative permittivity and permeability without resorting to additional metallic wires. It is confirmed that, in the left-handed band, negative permittivity is generated in analogy to the cut-wire metamaterial and negative permeability comes from...
متن کاملA Planar, Layered Ultra-wideband Metamaterial Absorber for Microwave Frequencies
In this paper, an ultra-wideband metamaterial absorber is designed and simulated. The proposed absorber is planar and low profile. It is made of a copper sheet coated with two dielectric layers. Each unit cell of the metamaterial structure is composed of multiple metallic split rings, which are patterned on the top and middle boundaries of the dielectrics. The designed absorber utilizes differe...
متن کاملA Compact Ultra-Wideband Bandpass Filter with Sharp-Rejection using Complementary Split Ring Resonators
A compact and sharp-rejection ultra-wideband (UWB) microstrip band-pass filter (BPF) is developed using of left handed metamaterials realized by complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). Moreover, proposed structure consists of two doublets parallel coupling gaps at each side of a microstrip ring. In comparison with some other filters, this structure shows a significantly wider passband due to...
متن کاملThree-dimensional movable metamaterial using electric split-ring resonators.
We have demonstrated a three-dimensional movable metamaterial (MM) with reconfigurable electric split-ring resonators (eSRR) at terahertz frequencies. This is accomplished by making planar arrays of eSRR with movable stress curved beams (eSRR-MSCBs) which are actuated out-of-plane by electrostatic force. Our results have demonstrated that the eSRR-MSCBs possess blueshifting capabilities and pol...
متن کاملCapacitor-loaded split ring resonators as tunable metamaterial components
Transmission through split ring resonator SRR structures loaded with capacitors is investigated both experimentally and numerically. Magnetic resonance frequency m is observed to shift to lower frequencies when capacitors are mounted to the various capacitive regions of the SRR structure. The amount of change in m depends strongly on the place where the capacitors are loaded. The magnetic reson...
